Genesis Rios Serrano was born on December 18, 1996 in the city of Fajardo, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Puerto Rican parents. From a young age, Genesis was a bit rebellious at school, which developed her personality. Her foray into music was born from a challenge that a rapper friend made her in 2016 to do a freestyle on her Instagram account, this freestyle quickly won many reproductions and Nesi, seeing the acceptance, continued recording more freestyle in the format of selfies on Instagram. It wasn't until 2018 that she recorded his first studio song. Nesi caught the attention of Hear This Music executives and signed a record deal in early 2019, where she has been developing her music.
